MM promotions was formed in August 2007 by Mark McMeekin.

His vision for the company was to give good local bands the opportunity to play at much larger venues in front of far larger audiences.

MM promotions first gig was on Thursday the 13th of September 2007 - one Night, four local bands - at the Carling Academy2 - the night was a sell out with over a 100 people turned away at the door.

On the 19th December a crowd of over 700 turned up to watch six local bands headlined by Seven Heroes in what was a memorable night!


MM Promotions are now three strong and have plans for further gigs in the North East as well as taking a few local bands up to Glasgow in the New Year.
